Warranty Policy and Service Information

 

All ECOM Portable Emission Analyzers carry a 12-month warranty on parts, accessories, and sensors.  The warranty will begin on the date the instrument is dispatched from ECOM America Ltd., Gainesville, Georgia USAThis warranty does not cover abuse or misuse. Click here to read full warranty.

All parts have a 1 year warranty.

 

If a unit comes back in within 30 Days after being repaired at the ECOM America service facility in Gainesville, GA, there will be no charge for labor or calibration. This does NOT include damage as a result of misuse of the analyzer or replacement of non-warranty parts. Standard rates apply if the analyzer is being sent in for standard service and calibration.

 

If a unit comes back in within 60 Days after being repaired at the ECOM America service facility in Gainesville, GA, there will be no charge for labor. A calibration fee will be charged if the operation hours of the analyzer has exceeded 40 hours. This does NOT include damage as a result of misuse of the analyzer or replacement of non-warranty parts. Additionally, a 1-hour labor fee will be charged for the installation of non-warranty parts. Standard rates apply if the analyzer is being sent in for standard service and calibration.

 

 


Service Rates

 

For the ECOM CL, CN, AC, A-PLUS, EN, EN2, J2K, J2KN & J2KN-IND the standard fee is $335.00.

Service Fee includes:

1. Complete diagnostic evaluation of the analyzer, which includes “as found” condition of   the sensors, batteries, pumps, water trap, printer, sample line, probe, and thermocouples.

2. Complete cleaning of analyzer (case, panel and internal cleaning of pumps, bypass valves, tubing, & water trap).

3. Filter Replacement kit (Water Trap filters / Inline filters / NOx Beads).

4. Calibration gases used to service the analyzer.

5. Labor, (Additional labor may be charged for service time over 2 hours)

6. Certificate of Calibration, upon completion of repair.

 

Additional labor fees may be charged for repair or replacement of:

Circuit Boards (Main PCB, Display Boards, Displays, etc.), Power Transformers, Printer assemblies, Batteries, Pumps, Sample Lines & Probes.

 

ECOM Service Department will provide a Repair Estimate upon completion of the diagnostic evaluation. Prior to actual repair of the analyzer, customer must authorize the charges and provide requested information, (i.e., PO#, Shipping & Billing Addresses, etc.) to ECOM Service Department.

 

Explanation of Service Department Fees

Service Fee – See description above

Evaluation Fee – Upon completion of the Diagnostic Evaluation, a Repair Estimate will be prepared for customer approval. Should the repair be declined, a fee of $195 will be charged. This fee will be waived if: 1) Customer proceeds with repair, 2) Analyzer traded in on newer model, 3) Customer provides written approval for disposal by ECOM.

Gas Fee – A fee of $95 will be charged for calibration gas used on warranty repairs.

Labor Fee – Additional labor, above 2 hours, as described above will be charged at $125 / hour.

 

ECOM Service Department Quality Promise

Our goal is to return your analyzer in a condition as close to “new” as possible. Should it be necessary to return the analyzer to ECOM for service within 60 days of repair, other than for abuse, the following policy is in effect:

Return within 30 days – No charge for labor or gas.

Return within 31-60 days – No charge for labor, Gas Fee only.

Please note: Customer will be responsible for any non warranty parts required.
