How does it work?
The J2KN Pro INDUSTRIAL utilizes electrochemical sensors to measure exhaust emissions, most commonly O2, CO, NO, NO2, and SO2 gases and has an available NDIR bench for measuring CO2, high CO, and CH4. The robust filtering system along with the Peltier gas cooler and 9V high-flow pump ensures a clean sample and high flow rate, which is necessary for accuracy. The sensors have electronic monitoring which compensates for temperature changes in even the harshest testing environments, and the CO sensor has a dedicated fresh air pump which is activated if a maximum concentration limit is exceeded, usually 4000ppm. The robust sample conditioning features, high-speed flow rate, and advanced sensor monitoring make the J2KN Pro INDUSTRIAL analyzer unmatched in accuracy and repeatability

How does the J2KN compare vs. the competition?
The handheld remote is the most popular feature of the J2KN Series, but when it comes to accuracy, the sample conditioning system of the J2KN Pro INDUSTRIAL is unmatched in the industry. The high-flow pump allows for a sufficient flow rate, which is crucial for accuracy of the electrochemical and NDIR sensors, especially if the sample has to travel more than 30ft to the analyzer. Another key sample conditioning feature that puts the J2KN Series in a league of its own is the sensor manifold, which is designed for precise flow and gas delivery to each sensor and is heated to provide thermal stability for increased accuracy. With this system, each sensor receives a precise amount of sample which is independent of all other sensors, allowing for a repeatable and accurate measure of each target gas. A few other select J2KN Series features include data logging onto a memory card, ability to perform averaging tests, digital flow reading (no more ball flow meter!), capability to input customer information or site information onto the printout, and optional compliance testing software which include Advanced DAS for engine testers and Boiler Test Software for boiler service technicians. And did we mention the handheld remote!
What testing applications can J2KN be used for?
The J2KN Pro INDUSTRIAL analyzer is fully loaded with sensor options and features, which allows it to be used in many different applications around the U.S. and worldwide. These applications include emission testing on stationary engines, generators, compressors, boilers, burners, turbines, heating equipment, pumps, diesel engines, mining equipment (to control DPM), construction equipment, laboratory combustion equipment, alternative fuels research, and many other applications. The J2KN analyzer is used for fuel efficiency testing, combustion tuning, maintenance checks, and emissions compliance reporting. The types of fuel that can be tested on the J2KN Series include natural gas, oil, diesel, coal, wood, biomass, butane, propane, biodiesel, and other alternative fuels. Gasoline emissions may be tested with the J2KN Pro INDUSTRIAL, but this requires the NDIR bench (for CO).
What does the J2KN measure?
Gas sensor options include O2, CO, NO, NO2, SO2, Combustibles, CO2, high CO, and CH4. Temperature sensors include flue gas temperature, ambient temperature, and sensor temperature. Draft and pressure are standard measured features. A high-range CO sensor is available for rich burn applications. Also, the NO and NO2 sensors are available in "low NOx" with a resolution of 0.1ppm. Calculations include CO2, excess air, losses, combustion efficiency, O2 correction, and mass emissions in lbs/hour, tons/year, or gr/bhp.
